Partner Contractor Job Description

Ether Property Lettings is seeking experienced Gas and Heating Engineers to join our preferred supplier list. You will be our “go-to” for maintaining the safety and efficiency of heating systems across our managed portfolio. We offer a streamlined process with minimal admin, allowing you to focus on the trade.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Carry out annual Landlord Gas Safety Checks (CP12) and issue digital or hard-copy certificates promptly (within 24 hours of attendance).

  • Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair faults in domestic gas boilers, central heating systems, radiators, and controls.

  • Installations: Quote for and execute boiler replacements and new system installations when required.

  • Plumbing: Undertake minor plumbing works associated with heating systems (e.g., TRV replacements, leak repairs).

  • Tenant Liaison: Schedule appointments directly with tenants (where applicable), maintaining a polite and professional manner at all times.

  • Communication: Update the Ether Property Lettings maintenance team on job status, parts delays, or access issues immediately.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified: Must hold current ACS accreditation and be on the Gas Safe Register.

  • Experienced: Minimum 3 years of experience in domestic fault finding and servicing.

  • Reliable: Good time management skills and a high first-time fix rate.

  • Equipped: Must have your own van, tools

  • Professional: Smart appearance and respectful attitude when entering tenanted homes

  • ACS Certificates: Proof of individual core safety competencies 

  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate

  • Flue Gas Analyser Calibration Certificate: Must be within date.

  • Waste Carrier Licence: (If applicable for removing old boilers/parts).

  • Photo ID: Driving Licence or Passport

  • Standard Rate Card: A simple list of your standard charges (e.g., CP12 fee, hourly labour rate, boiler service fee, call-out charge).

Business & Payment Details:

  • Company Letterhead: Showing your trading address and contact numbers.

  • UTR Number / Company Registration Number: For tax verification purposes.

  • Bank Details: Sort Code and Account Number for payments.

  • VAT Certificate: (If VAT registered).
